Joining the League of Women Voters of Plainfield is a way to get involved in your community and take an active role in how our elections work.

The League is nonpartisan. We do not support or oppose any candidate or political party. Our members come from across the political spectrum. What we share is the belief that voters should be informed and that voting should be accessible to everyone.

There is no minimum commitment. Some members give a few hours a year and some give a few hours a month, and both are useful. You can help at a single event, take on one project, or come to a meeting and listen for a while before you decide anything.

Where we need people

- Membership — welcoming and growing our members
- Forums — hosting nonpartisan candidate and issue forums
- Voter Services — voter registration and voter education
- Young Voters — reaching students and first-time voters

Do not feel limited by that list. If you have an idea, bring it to us.

Membership Dues

Dues are paid annually. When you join the League, you become a member at all three levels: local, state, and national. Dues are sliding scale, with a recommended rate of $75 per person per year. You must be 16 or older to join.
